Hi, I’m Emma Carpenter.

Welcome to my professional blog where I share insight, articles, and the latest academic research from my 16+ years in the industry.

Purpose in Flight Co. was created a space to collaborate with other aviation professionals for the betterment of our industry.

My Experience

USAF Veteran

My aviation career began with my service in the United States Air Force as an Airfield Operations Officer. I received my certifications in airport management, air traffic control, and leadership.

MS in Aeronautics

Following my military service, I completed my MS in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. My specialization is in aviation management and safety.

Office of Airports

I had the privilege of serving in the FAA’s Office of Airports (ARP) as a Grants Program Analyst leading various airport grant programs and special programs

Professor & PhD*

Currently, I serve as an Instructor Mentor and Adjunct Professor for Liberty University’s School of Aeronautics. Also, I pursing the PhD in Aviation with a focus on the application of AI to the airport environment. *PhD ECD May 2028
